Pretty Small Things: An Octopus

Recently, Tim and I have spent a good portion of our weekends exploring the different cities surrounding us. When we drive, we've given ourselves permission to stop whenever we feel like it, and it's a lot of fun!

A recent stop we had to make was when we saw a sign for Steampunk Emporium. With that name, you know I'm intrigued! We explored and instantly fell in love with this little guy.

A hand carved octopus!!

He wasn't cheap at $50 (no, not cheap at all), but we decided to splurge. Being sold at a local business and by a local artist took away the price tag sting.

Steampunk Emporium doesn't have a website (well, there is a steampunkemporium.com, but it's not for this store). If you want to check them out, you're gonna have to make the trip - 422 South Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA. Don't worry though, it's a beautiful drive.

  1. it's cute, don't you wonder how that person made it? What type of tools? How long?

  2. I know! I'm pretty sure I would have broken off a tentacle or two at the very least.
